HDD is an efficient and unique civil construction practice that enables trenchless installation of all type underground utility services under, near and through waterways, roads and highways, sensitive surfaces, congested existing utilities, or in other special circumstances as practical. The immediate environment remains without structural or environmental impact during and after the drilling works.
Prior to the commencement of HDD works, the drilling route can be accurately modelled to improve planning and minimise the possibility of hazards and difficulties. The alignment and depth of the drill head are constantly monitored and recorded using an advanced sensitive transmitter receiver system to achieve accurate results. These are graphically presented to the interested party in an easy to read format with all the relevant data accompanying the report. HDD saves significant time and money, eliminates possible major disruptions to other activities (construction, traffic, private or public) around the drilling site and significantly reduces extensive restoration and remedial works.
